Four HOURS of Kris Bell Band = HEAVEN

I’m really looking forward to hitting the road for Nashville this week, because it promises to be a big weekend for Kris Bell and the band. On Thursday, the Kris Bell Band will be playing from 9 pm – 1 am at Brewhouse South in Cool Springs. There’s no cover, plus they serve food, so it could be a double score: dinner and a FOUR HOUR show!

On Saturday, we have the first (soon to be annual) Music City Mayhem Awards show for Nashville rock and metal artists, sponsored by Dungeon Promotions. Kris has been nominated for four awards in the Rock music category: best male vocal, best guitar, best live show, and best song (“Livin’ for Tomorrow”). Competition is tough, but I bet Kris goes home with an award or two (or 4 ). Show is at the Rutledge and starts promptly at 7 pm, so get there early and stake out your seat!

Once we get through this weekend, Kris, Coop, Shane, and Bryan will be heading to Clarksville, TN, for the Rivers & Spires Festival’s Last Band Standing competition. Kris and the guys will be playing Saturday afternoon, April 16, on the Courthouse Stage at 5 pm, so be sure to get out to cheer them on. If they win the day’s competition, they will come back on stage later in the evening to compete against the Friday winner in the finals. Sexstone, a friend of the KBB, is playing Friday. Wouldn’t it be great to see both bands on the stage for the finals? If it happens, you know who I’m rooting for, though. Sorry, Sexstone LOL!

I know I’ve loaded pix of my last two shows into the Kris Pix section, and added links to view videos of Kris’ entire acoustic set from Hard Rock on March 17. I will also be posting (very soon!) audio of the show from when I turned the recorder on (almost at the beginning, and definitely before the first song) to the very end. That will include all the inter-song dialogue, which was funny all on its own. What a great night it was to be a Kris Bell fan.

Finally, in addition to being a performing rock star, he’s also a promoting rock star. This week, he recorded a special welcome message for all who visit Rebel Bell. Check it out below. Kris Bell Rocks….and so does REBEL BELL!

Laura told ya’ll last week that Kris Bell was staying busy and that continues on this week. Fresh off of a rockin’ band show this past Saturday, Kris has an acoustic show at The Rusty Nail in Hermitage, TN, tomorrow night. Doors open at 7 pm for this Writer’s Night. Acoustic Kris is pretty awesome….and who knows when he will sing YOUR favorite song acoustic! You don’t wanna miss that. Do ya? Get by there if you are in the Hermitage area. We’ll look forward to hearing about how it goes at the show.

We ALWAYS love sharing and receiving news about Kris….but now for some EXCITING news about the fan forum REBEL BELL. The site has been redecorated and it looks WONDERFUL! Come by and check it out ASAP! If you haven’t joined as a member there, NOW is the time. With the fresh new colors, pictures and videos coming soon to the site from some of the recent shows, and some little goodies Kris has promised to work on including members only contests and Kris provided content, Rebel Bell will be the place for ALL Kris Bell fans to be as often as they can!

So, what do I do now?

Some of you may have noticed that the Rebel Bell forum has not been available off and on since yesterday morning. Apparently, InvisionFree is having a serious issue that has affected all boards, but not all at once. Depending on your ISP, you may or may not be able to access the board.

DON’T PANIC!

InvisionFree is working to get the board back up and running. In the meantime, there are some things you can do to support Kris:

Vote!
Vote some more!
Go to Kris’ MySpace page and check out the new songs he’s uploaded.
Go to Uncle Shag’s Friday podcast and listen to Kris’ latest and greatest exclusive music, and an interview at the end.
Stay at Unc’s page and leave a comment thanking him for his dedication to and support of Kris Bell’s music.
Go BACK to Kris’ MySpace and leave him a comment about the great music you heard from him on Unc’s podcast
Read back blogs from Rebel Bell.
Comment on the blogs on Rebel Bell.
Schedule a trip to Memphis to see Kris perform live June 7 at the Hard Rock Cafe on Beale St. ($5 cover, 10 pm)
Vote even more! Kris is at #21 at the time of this blog, but I’m sure he’ll go higher with just a little bit of effort.

What Rebel Belles Do While They Wait…

for the CD, for the next webcast (hint, hint – sorry Kris LOL), for the next cell cert, and/ or for the next live Kris music…

Well, members at Rebel Bell, can go to The Supplier’s photobucket and relive many, many Kris Bell and Kris Bell Band shows! That is one fantastic way to wait patiently. Another way is to hit the Game Room Topic. Lots of fun games (a favorite is the “Last to Post Loves Kris the Most” game… by the way, sister belles ILKTM …ROTFL) and new quizzes are added in there as often as they pop up at Blogthings. Some of our belles make banners and wallpapers. If you haven’t seen Pily’s threads, check it out soon! She has some amazing banners and wallpapers. I have gotten into Kris art…I love Photoshop, and it is kind of fun to turn Kris pix into a little Kris art. Checking out videos and rewatching them is a fun “while we wait” pasttime as well. So find something to do while you wait, Kris Bell fans….the wait is almost over! That CD and tour is heading our way at a rapid pace! If you are not a member at Rebel Bell yet, that is a good place to start….tons of things to do, see, and read there. Hope to see you there soon!

We’re New! We’re Improved! We Are REBEL BELL!

Our motto around Rebel Bell is “It’s All About Kris!” That is no lie, and THAT is why we have decided to perk up our place just a bit. We’ve been making a few changes to the site we all call home. Kris keeps getting better and better, we think we should too! The staff has gotten the BLOGGING BUG, and we can think of nothing better to blog about than Kris, KBB, and Rebel Bell! Our blog is going to be lots of different things……photos, videos, news and updates on the cd and tour, as well as personal thoughts and reflections. What we are going to blog about has endless possibilities, but it will be all about Mr. Bell in some way, shape or form. And if I know the RB staff like I think I do LOL…there will be giggles, tears, memories, lots of gushing LOL and all those emotions that we have had and will continue to have as we make this journey together. It’s gonna be a long one, so hop on for the ride and check in here every day! You NEVER know what you are gonna read in the Rebel Bell Blog, but it will be worth it. Trust me!!

BTW: One more thing, you may have noticed that while this SHOULD be the first blog, it’s not. For the last few weeks, we have been trying out a blog (some of you may have seen it) and that is how we made the decision that this needed to be a part of our site. We didn’t want you to miss out on those previous blogs, so we dropped them right in here so all could enjoy them. Go check them out!
