Kris Bell scheduled a new show this week in Redding, California. Of course, we all looked at each other and said, “Um, Kris, we don’t live near there,” but Kris gave us reason to consider GETTING ourselves there.
If you watched the news at all this summer, you heard about the wildfires blazing in northern California. Many of these fires were near Redding, where Kris’ wife’s family is from. The firefighters in this area helped to save many houses, including Terri’s family’s home, so to give back a little, Kris is arranging a benefit concert to support them.
We don’t know how much the tickets are yet, but the show itself is on October 3 at the Cascade Theater in Redding. From what I understand, it used to be a movie theater, but has been restored to its former glory and the community is using it as an actual theater again. Anyway, Kris will be putting on a full band, full set performance, so it should be a rockin’ good time.
If you can, make arrangements to get to this show. Not only will it be some great rock n roll, but it will be a way to thank those firefighters who selflessly give of themselves to help others. I’m going to try to make this happen for me. Hope I can see you there, too!
