Livin’ for Tomorrow

Seems like we’ve been “livin’ for tomorrow” for almost 3 years now, but finally we’re getting word that Kris Bell’s debut CD is finished and getting produced for sale. I myself am really looking forward to it!

Today, Kris loaded the song “Livin’ for Tomorrow” to his ReverbNation account. ReverbNation is great because it gives so many ways to share media. Feel free to check out the song here, and let us (and Kris) know what you think!

Been a Busy Few Months…

lots of Kris shows…. the band doing lots of practicing… Kris working in the studio…being on the radio (both in person and having his music played there)… busy, busy, busy! For the moment, there are only two more shows on the schedule, but of course, we are all waiting (patiently LOL) to hear about future shows….and with Kris still working on the CD, eventually a CD release party that will rock… what an AWESOME day that will be for Kris, his family, and all the fans! :D If you have been to a show lately, you know how amazing Kris is…. if you haven’t, I’ve said it before, I will say it again… you NEED to see this man do his thing on stage!

Sooooo….. don’t miss out on these last two scheduled (for the moment) shows if you can help it!

Kris is playing at Graffiti Bar in Murfreesboro again on Saturday, October 10.   Always a great time at this little place…. and with a nice long time to play…. the fans always get plenty of Kris Bell Band rock at this venue!

Kris has been getting to play some really great places lately… and on Sunday, October 11… he will be playing at BB Kings in Nashville. Whoo hoo! :D What a way to spend a Sunday evening!

Can’t end this blog without a little share. Here’s a video from 3rd & Lindsley (September 14, 2009) of FEED THE BEAST! There isn’t a Kris Bell song I don’t love, but this one is one of my favorites! Thanks for playing it that night Kris!  Thanks Laura for the video. :D

If you want to see more video and photos, check out the fan site, Rebel Bell. :D   One of my favorite sites on the internet! ;)

Again…. if you can make it to one of the the upcoming October shows… do it! It’ll be a treat for you! If not, keep watching Kris’ calendar…I am confident there are more shows to come cause Kris Bell rocks…. and slowly but surely, EVERYONE is realizing that…and I for one think that is TOTALLY AWESOME! ;)

I’ve had the pleasure of attending several (ok…quite a few :D ) shows during 2009…and I hope that continues in the future.  I am looking forward to next weekend!  Hope to see ya’ll there!
Lisa :D

Countdown

You know, it’s funny how, once one show’s over, the countdown to the next one begins. It’s down to 4 days for the Wall Street Bar gig on August 21, and I know Lisa and I have been counting down since, well, the end of July after Kris’ Rock Bar show. Hope you all can make it to this one!

Welcome Home, Lonely Souls

When Kris Bell first shared this song, an instrumental on acoustic guitar, I thought it was beautiful, wistful, mournful, yet somehow joyful all at once.  A few weeks later, a group of us were together at Paris’ house getting ready to see another band.  We were killing time surfing the ‘net and caught Kris setting up his web cam.  As the group of us gathered around the computer screen, Kris treated us to a “live” performance of this song.  We all stood there in silence just listening to the magic being created on the guitar.  This video captures the spontaneity of that moment, while still conveying the emotions I felt when first hearing the song.  It’s an great song, delicate and simple, yet so complex.  Take a listen.

On a not-so-unrelated note:  Kris, I may be over the whole red shirt thing… ;)
